How to do Fractions & Turn Decimal into Fraction on a TI-84 Plus

Use “n/d” Fraction Template (Only on TI-84 Plus CE)

If you’re using the TI-84 Plus CE model, you can use the built-in fraction template:

1. Press ALPHA then Y=
   
2. A menu pops up with:
   
   • 1: n/d (for proper fractions like 3/4)
     
   • 2: Un/d (for mixed numbers like 1 1/2)
     
3. Choose 1: n/d
   
4. Enter your numerator and denominator
   
5. Press ENTER

The calculator will show 3/4

How to Convert a Decimal into a Fraction

1. Enter the decimal (e.g., 0.75)
   
2. Press MATH
   
3. Select option 1:►Frac
   
4. Press ENTER
   

It will turn 0.75 into 3/4
